Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Delivery Area Manager for a comprehensive development and maintenance area within the public sector. The role involves strategic and tactical responsibility to ensure that IT development and lifecycle management support the organization's prioritized needs in both the short and long term.

You will work closely with various stakeholders within operations and IT to coordinate development initiatives, prioritize backlogs, and ensure delivery capacity within the area. The assignment also includes coaching delivery managers and contributing to a modern and agile way of working.

The role requires a confident leader with good technical understanding, experience working in complex organizations, and experience in change management and agile development.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate larger IT initiatives and development portfolios
• Ensure capacity and prioritization within development and maintenance work
• Drive change work and contribute to modern agile ways of working
• Monitor deliveries regarding time, quality, and budget
• Collaborate with operations, IT, and external parties in complex environments
• Coach and support leaders and teams within the delivery area

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in leadership roles within IT delivery, program, or project management
• Documented experience leading complex system development with multiple dependencies
• Experience in change management and business development in larger organizations
• Experience working in matrix organizations with multiple stakeholders and decision paths
• Experience with agile ways of working and frameworks such as SAFe or similar
• Very good communication and pedagogical skills in Swedish, both oral and written

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience from public operations or larger authority environments
• Experience leading teams developing in-house IT solutions
• Experience in coaching leadership within larger IT organizations
• Good understanding of lifecycle management and accessibility requirements within IT
