About Kungsparken

Kungsparken is Kumla's new care and support residence, with a total of 126 places focused on somatic care, dementia care, and short-term care. The residence consists of two buildings with a total of seven floors, where each floor has 18 apartments. Our residence is located centrally in Kumla, on a height with a view over both the city and its beautiful surroundings.

Your workplace will be at our new unit for people with cognitive illness, a ward with a total of 18 apartments. On the nearby unit, there are also assistant nurses with specialist competence in dementia care, palliative care, mental ill health, and welfare technology.

Job Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse at Kungsparken, you will have a varied, challenging, and rewarding job where you meet residents in different life stages. You meet people with different needs and wishes, and get to hear their life stories and experiences. Together with your colleagues, you support our residents in their daily tasks, with a focus on strengthening their own abilities and resources. You will work in a team with, among others, nurses, occupational therapists, and unit managers, where everyone in the staff is jointly responsible for ensuring that care maintains high quality and that guidelines and decisions are followed. We work with a rehabilitative approach where the resident is always at the center, and our goal is to stimulate and motivate independence and activity.

Examples of tasks:

• Provide personal care and service based on the resident's individual needs.
• Build trusting relationships and be responsible for the individual care and support process as a contact person.
• Close collaboration with the team to map and meet the resident's needs.
• Document in our operational systems to ensure safe and quality care.
• Together with the team, contribute to developing working methods and approaches within the unit.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who have a strong commitment to people and a positive attitude. You are secure in your professional role and can keep your calm in different situations. Being professional and responsible is a matter of course for you. You have a good ability to collaborate and communicate with others, treat people in a pleasant way, and show care. You also adapt easily to changes and see opportunities in new situations.

Requirements:

• Certificate of protected professional title, or alternatively covered by transition rules (employed as an assistant nurse on July 1, 2023).
• You must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Experience of working in care and support, especially in elderly care.
• Computer skills and ability to work in various systems.

Merits:

• Experience of working in dementia care.

Working hours: Schedule. Scheduled working hours day/evening and weekend.
