About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service (Kriminalvården)
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will become safer and more secure for everyone. We are the agency responsible for prisons, probation, remand centers, and client transport.
Job Description
As a cook with us, you will be part of a work team and primarily prepare meals for the inmates at the prison, as well as for the staff cafeteria, which is open Monday to Friday. The kitchen is located in the newly built staff villa, equipped with new and state-of-the-art kitchen equipment. The staff villa is located on the prison grounds outside the walls, which means you will not have any contact with clients. The tasks include all typical duties in a large-scale kitchen, such as planning, preparing lunch, and dinner. The duties also include cleaning the kitchen premises, dishwashing, and self-control in accordance with current legislation. Preparation of diet food and other special diets is also part of the role. The work is carried out in collaboration with staff in other functions.

You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute through your attitude to ensuring that everyone is treated equally. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We are looking for you who have:
- A restaurant or large-scale catering education at the upper secondary level, or alternatively other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant

The following are also meritorious:
