As a Senior Electrical Designer at ASSA ABLOY Megadoor, you will develop control systems for some of the world's largest and most advanced doors. Solutions used in everything from shipyards and aircraft hangars to the space industry and military applications, where every detail needs to hold up, both in theory and in reality.

You are involved from the initial idea, through design and development, to the finished solution in production. In this role, you work closely with the entire operation, contributing your technical expertise and driving development forward.

The position is remote, but we would prefer that you, as a candidate, have a long-term plan to move here and become part of the local team in Skellefteå.

Your main responsibilities

• Work with the development, electrical design, and documentation of new and existing control systems

• Create electrical schematics, technical specifications, requirements, and bill of materials

• Participate in development projects and contribute to technical decision-making

• Support production, installation, service, and project managers with technical questions

• Act as a technical resource for sales support.

• Work on improvements and further development of existing solutions.

• Contribute to the development of working methods, processes, and documentation within electrical design.

• Work based on requirements linked to standards, directives, and technical documentation.

Who do we think you are?

You are educated as a civil engineer in electrical engineering or similar, and have experience working with control systems. You are accustomed to working based on requirements, standards, and directives, and have experience with technical documentation. Experience with tools similar to AutoCAD Electrical and knowledge of functional safety are meritorious.
