As a Technical Engineer at Svenska kraftnät, you will play a central role in a socially vital operation where you will help build Sweden's national grid.
About the role
Together with your colleagues in the Switchgear and Primary Equipment unit, you will be responsible for the technical design of switchgear and provide support in asset management issues. The unit has a broad technical responsibility that includes switchgear construction as well as transformers, reactors, and other primary equipment.
As a Technical Engineer for transformers and switchgear, you will work on requirement specification and follow-up in our construction projects, as well as providing technical support to the asset management function. Initially, you will receive support from more senior colleagues. Furthermore, we work as a team within the unit and support each other in various matters. We are a client organization and build our substations through turnkey contracts.
You will belong to the Switchgear and Primary Equipment unit within the Substation Technology department. The unit is growing and currently consists of 12 employees. The unit is responsible for the technical design of switchgear and primary equipment in Svenska kraftnät's substations, and supports both asset management and project activities with specialist competence in these areas. The unit is also responsible for the technical guidelines within the aforementioned areas.
The role will also include:
- Preparing tender documents for the procurement of substations.
- Technical requirement specification and review within the area.
- Technical support in construction projects during procurement, factory acceptance testing, documentation, and installation of transformers and reactors. Also support in pre-study work.
- Work with Technical Guidelines.
About you
Essential requirements:
You have a good ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and actively contribute to driving the work forward. Since the role is broad and you operate in different parts of the project, you have a holistic perspective and a clear result orientation. The role involves many contact surfaces, which requires good collaboration skills and clear communication.
You enjoy working with complex issues that you analyze and break down to identify sustainable and efficient solutions. Furthermore, you are meticulous and aware of goals, deliverables, and the importance of quality.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
You hold a Master of Science degree in Energy Systems or Electrical Power Engineering.
Additionally, you have:
- Good proficiency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- A valid driver's license (Category B).
- Good knowledge of PSSE software.
We consider it meritorious if you have:
- A relevant thesis within the field of electrical power engineering.
- Work experience within the field of electrical power engineering.
Good to know
- The position is located in Sundbyberg.
- Opportunity for remote work up to 50% (#LI-hybrid).
- Travel within Sweden occurs, as well as occasional travel to suppliers abroad.
