To strengthen our team and capabilities, we are looking for an installation technician based in Härnösand.

About the role

As an installation technician with the Swedish Armed Forces and FMTIS, you will be a vital part of a successful team and a rapidly growing agency. About the operations

FMTIS has four units that perform operation and maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces' command systems; Implementation Unit North is one of them.

The unit has a geographical spread covering Norrland and is staffed with both military and civilian personnel.

You will work in teams with other departments/sections within FMTIS. The work is carried out at Swedish Armed Forces facilities, which involves several business trips.

We will provide you with the additional training required for your position.

Main responsibilities

The work mainly consists of installing, maintaining, and operating data/telecommunications networks within various technical areas on the Swedish Armed Forces' technical communication systems and facilities.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Upper secondary education in the Electricity and Energy program or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways that the employer deems comparable
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Category B driver's license (manual transmission).
• Knowledge of Windows environment (PC proficiency).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience and knowledge of command and communication networks, copper/fiber
• Experience documenting telecommunications facilities
• Experience with fiber splicing, cable repair, and cable laying
• Completed basic military training
