As an Automation Engineer/Electrical Technician at Surahammars Bruks AB, you will join a team of 5 colleagues with extensive expertise in the field. You will contribute to and drive improvement work and maintenance projects.

Surahammars Bruks AB was founded in 1622, and we are Scandinavia's only manufacturer of electrical steel, a material that is essential for the efficient and environmentally friendly generation, transmission, and use of electricity. Our largest customer group consists of manufacturers of motors and generators. We currently have 105 employees with our headquarters and development department located in Surahammar.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include operating and maintaining automation and drive systems for production processes. You will monitor and develop maintenance activities, ensuring that standards for electrical equipment and documentation are met. You will also perform emergency troubleshooting and corrective actions, as well as act as the electrical safety leader. On-call duties are included in the position.

Who you are

We are looking for you who have completed a relevant electrical education.

As a person, you are accustomed to working both independently and collaboratively, both internally and externally. You view problem-solving as a natural part of your daily routine and approach challenges in a structured and solution-oriented manner. You are fluent in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

It is considered an advantage if you are already an electrical or industrial technician and have experience with electrical maintenance on AC and DC drive systems, PLC programming (Siemens Step 7/TIA Portal, ABB 800xA, AC450, Mitsubishi, and Melsec), and HMI/SCADA systems (InTouch, WinCC, and ABB 800xA). Knowledge and experience in IT, data communication, networking, and high-voltage work are also considered advantageous.
