About the job as a Personal Assistant

As a personal assistant, you work closely with a person with a disability in their daily life. You assist and support the individual both in everyday life and during leisure time. Your workplace is wherever the customer is, and your main responsibility is to assist the customer so that they have the conditions to live the life they desire.

Job Responsibilities

Your tasks depend on the customer's needs and lifestyle. They can range from personal hygiene, assistance with mobility, household chores, and cooking, to assisting the customer at work or during activities outside the home.

We are looking for you who

We are looking for someone who is responsible, empathetic, and quick to learn new tasks. At Särnmark, you will always receive an introduction at the customer's home as well as access to training regarding the role of a personal assistant. We are looking for both male and female assistants. Experience with autism is a plus. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. A driver's license and car are advantageous as some of our customers have poor bus and train connections.

About the Employment

The employment is for a fixed term as long as the assistance assignment lasts, and the wage form is hourly pay. Working hours vary according to the customer's needs: day, evening, night (active and on-call), weekdays, and weekends. We are also looking for summer replacements.

Salary and other terms of employment are according to the collective agreement for Personal Assistance, Vårdföretagarna - Kommunal.
