Rehabilitation Assistant at Sandviken Norra Health Center
Sandviken Norra Health Center is one of the region's larger health centers with approximately 11,000 registered patients. We are a team of around 50 employees who work in close collaboration across different professions to promote, prevent, and achieve good health for the residents of western Gästrikland. We value flexibility and personal development, making the job both varied and stimulating. The operations include a doctor's office, district nurse clinic, Child Health Center/Family Center, psychosocial team, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, pool activities, rehabilitation coordinator, medical secretaries, and nursing assistants. Together, we create a holistic approach where the patient is at the center.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a rehabilitation assistant with us, you play an important role in supporting people in their rehabilitation. You work primarily within our pool activities, using pool training as a treatment method. You meet patients both individually and in groups, actively working to create a safe, motivating, and inclusive training environment. The role also includes documentation, administration, handling of assistive devices, and other tasks at the clinic. As a rehabilitation assistant, you work under delegation from a physiotherapist.
Your main responsibilities
- Lead and support patients in pool training
- Prepare the pool environment, equipment, and assistive devices
- Assist with rehabilitation interventions as prescribed
- Documentation and follow-up of interventions

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have good cooperation skills, are receptive, communicative, and have an easy time creating safe and trusting relationships. You have a good ability to independently structure and plan your work and are willing to take initiative. Since the work may involve sudden changes, we see that you adapt easily and see opportunities in change.
Requirements for this role
- Education within healthcare
- Education as a rehabilitation assistant
Experience with rehabilitation and water training is meritorious for the position. Experience in primary care and a B-driving license are also meritorious. You need to be comfortable working in a swimming hall, which may involve rescuing patients from the water.
This is a fixed-term employment until January 31, 2027, with a possible option for extension.
