RESPONSIBILITIES

As some of our colleagues are on parental leave, we have chosen to strengthen the team with a permanent position. Could you be the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone interested in working with social change work targeting adults with harmful substance use and addiction, as well as co-occurring disorders. The position involves exercising public authority in the area, and you will handle reports, applications, and follow-up of interventions based on both the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM). Since the process for domestic violence permeates all operations within the Social Services Board, case handling in this area also occurs. The unit is also responsible for individuals wishing to leave a criminal lifestyle and those involved in organized crime.

The Social Services Board in Kalmar has a process-oriented perspective and approach to ensure the entire care chain for those in need of our support. This means we have close collaboration with our interventions and external actors such as healthcare. We investigate and assess needs with the support of ASI (Addiction Severity Index) to ensure legally secure and evidence-based decisions. The entire board also has good competence regarding domestic violence.

Here, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues to develop working methods and approaches within the framework of our goal work. We want to continuously develop and improve in our work, and everyone's participation is a prerequisite for this.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work (Social Worker/Socionom). We would prefer that you have experience working within social services, handling cases concerning adults with harmful substance use and addiction, or other parts of social services.

It is an advantage if you are familiar with current legislation. If you have training and previous experience using the investigation and follow-up instrument ASI, this is seen as a merit. It is also meritorious if you have previous experience working in the business system Lifecare and have undergone other training, for example, in domestic violence. We value that you have good knowledge of society's support systems.

The work presupposes that you are good at building relationships, have the ability to handle pressured and stressful situations well, and take great responsibility for completing your tasks. We believe you are curious and creative in your work but also have the ability to sort and prioritize what needs to be done both short-term and long-term. We believe you are interested in contributing to the development of the operation as a whole, both individually and in collaboration with others.

As a social secretary, you must also be accustomed to expressing yourself both orally and in writing, and since travel is part of the job, you need to have a B driver's license.
