ABOUT MOWEN

At Mowen Ekonomikonsult, we are a team of ten people located in the heart of Östermalm, Stockholm. We help companies of all sizes with their entire economic function — ongoing accounting, payroll, annual accounts, analysis, and advisory services. We are now growing and looking for a junior colleague whom we have the opportunity to develop from the ground up. We combine close customer work with active work on AI and automation in our daily delivery. As a smaller agency, we sit close to each other — both physically and mentally — which means that as a newcomer, you will never get stuck with a question or task. Experienced colleagues take the time to teach.

WHO ARE YOU?

We are looking for someone who:

• has recently graduated, or is about to graduate, from an economics education at a university, college, or university college
• is driven, curious, and wants to build your career within accounting
• enjoys meeting with customers and has an easy time building relationships
• likes working in a team but can also take own initiative

You are unpretentious, responsible, and find it satisfying when the numbers match and the customer is happy.

Previous experience from accounting work — for example, summer jobs, part-time jobs, or internships — is a plus but not a requirement.

IT IS MERITORIOUS IF YOU HAVE

• Experience with Fortnox
• Experience working in Excel
• Experience with AI tools — but we teach that too
• Good IT and technical skills
• Good knowledge of English

YOUR ROLE — AND YOUR DEVELOPMENT JOURNEY

In close collaboration with your more experienced colleagues, you will start working with ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and preparatory work for annual accounts and income tax returns for our customers. You will quickly see how economics works in many different types of businesses — from smaller limited companies to companies with subsidiary structures and international operations. Here, it usually takes 1–3 years before you have your own customer responsibility — it depends entirely on how quickly you grow into the role. We have no formal titles or fixed career steps; development is driven by what you can handle and want to take on. We are happy to support you who aim to become an authorized accounting consultant.
