Description

The Group Home on Håljutegatan is a residence with special support services for people who have significant difficulties managing their daily lives due to intellectual/psychiatric disabilities and some comorbidity. The residence has 16 places; the kitchen prepares breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and provides morning and afternoon coffee breaks.

As a cook at Håljutegatan, you will have a unique opportunity to create memorable dining experiences for our users and play a central role in our cooking, where the focus is on quality and variety. Your work will contribute to our users receiving both tasty and nutritious meals.

The position is a fixed-term employment at 70% until 2026-12-31, with working hours during daytime Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Standard cook duties such as food preparation and pre- and post-service tasks. Assistance with meal service may also occur.
  • Plan and manage the daily operations in the kitchen.
  • Create weekly menus, manage inventory of food items, and handle product deliveries.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who enjoys cooking good, nutritious traditional Swedish food from scratch, is creative and open to new ideas, and focuses on service.

Qualifications

  • Upper secondary education in large-scale catering or restaurant work, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • You have at least two years of experience working in a large kitchen.
  • You have good knowledge of food hygiene, nutrition, self-control procedures, as well as special and alternative diets.
  • You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • You have a valid B driver's license. Driving for work purposes may occur.

Other Information

  • Candidates deemed suitable for the position will be asked to take a language assessment test. A request to take the language test does not constitute an offer of employment, but simply indicates that you have advanced as a candidate in the selection process. Passing the language test is a requirement for employment.
  • Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
  • When invited for an interview, you will be asked to bring a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority's Register of Persons Subject to Restriction ("Control of Own Information") in a sealed envelope.

For positions requiring a license/valid certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare for a protected professional title, this must be submitted prior to employment.

Language assessment is conducted for certain occupational groups before employment can become relevant.

A background check is conducted for all employments within the Social Services Administration.
