Here you will work together with employees from departments for communication, HR, IT, finance, procurement and property, as well as the departments for quality and planning, safety and sustainability, and the secretariat. The organizations for business and destination as well as shared services are also located at the Municipal Executive Office. The Municipal Executive Office is the link between the decisions of our elected officials and all the municipality's operations. Our assignment includes, among other things, coordinating and driving overarching issues within democracy, societal and business development, as well as ecological and social sustainability.

Uppsala Municipality has a shared finance department for the entire municipality. The department consists of approximately 110 employees who are organized to best respond to the needs of the administrations and politics. We are located in modern premises in the City Hall, centrally in Uppsala with the city's best commuter location. We work digitally and activity-based.

Description of duties

You will be an active support to managers and colleagues in work with budget, forecast, and follow-up. You are responsible for planning the ongoing financial processes and producing high-quality materials. You are expected to independently and in collaboration with others contribute problem-solving skills and critical thinking. The work places high demands on the ability to compile, analyze, and present data. Together with the group, you work for continuous development and improvement of methods and routines.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an academic degree in economics or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. To succeed in the role, you need to have experience in financial work. The work requires that you have good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and good oral and written skills in Swedish.

We would like you to have experience working with externally funded projects. Experience of financial work in a similar role within a municipality, region, state, or larger private company is considered an advantage.

You are an analytical and flexible person who enjoys taking responsibility and working both independently and together with others. You have good problem-solving skills with the ability to switch between details and the big picture. You work systematically and are skilled at planning and prioritizing your work, even when conditions change and new priorities arise.

You have good collaboration skills and communicate in a listening and smooth manner. Furthermore, you have a clear drive for improvement and actively contribute to developing and streamlining methods, processes, and routines.
