Our Operations

The Research and Education (R&D) department at Akademiska Sjukhuset has approximately 25 employees, including the Research Support Unit. The unit works as practice-oriented research support and contributes to the development of research infrastructures primarily at Akademiska Sjukhuset, but also regionally. The aim is to provide good conditions for conducting high-quality research. The unit also supports our close collaboration with Uppsala University.

Your Role

The role covers three main areas of responsibility:

System Administration and Development of Researchweb CRIS/Compliance

• Responsible for the administration and development of the research administration system Researchweb CRIS/Compliance. The system consists of a registration module and a project database where all clinical studies at Akademiska Sjukhuset requiring approval from the Swedish Ethical Review Authority are registered and stored (currently approx. 1,000 studies).
• The role includes training, support, data extraction, and compilation of reports, as well as further development of the system's functionality. The role involves close collaboration with the R&D Director and the Unit Manager to produce analyses, materials, and presentations based on extracted data.

Quality Responsibility within Research Support and Regulations

The operations are conducted in a regulated environment governed by laws, guidelines, and requirements from authorities such as the Medical Products Agency and the Swedish Ethical Review Authority. The role therefore includes responsibility for quality work and quality assurance within research support.

In February, the hospital launched "Forskningskompassen" (The Research Compass) – a digital tool that supports researchers, research support functions, and line managers throughout the entire research process. An important part of the role is to ensure that guidelines, processes, and governing documents are current and updated regularly in line with changing requirements and regulations.

Project Management and Coordination within Research

The role also involves leading or representing the department in various working and project groups, often cross-professional or multidisciplinary, on behalf of the R&D Director or Unit Manager. The focus is on driving implementation, change, and development projects related to research and research support.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university degree and/or several years of experience in an area relevant to the position. You are proficient in working with Office 365 and have experience with document management systems, preferably DocPlus. Furthermore, you have previous experience in project management and are accustomed to driving work independently and in a structured manner.

You express yourself very well in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. We would appreciate if you have experience in system development as well as good analytical skills with competence in impact and needs analysis.

Experience with the research administration system Researchweb CRIS/Compliance is meritorious, as is experience in research or research-supporting activities and work within healthcare and/or university operations.

Your Competencies

As a person, you are solution-oriented, structured, and responsible, and have the ability to work both independently and in a group. You are engaged in your work and are motivated by contributing to a larger unit. This role places high demands on your collaboration and communication skills, and we will place great emphasis on personal qualities such as structure and attention to detail, and you must have a good ability to deliver according to plan.

We Offer

Permanent position, full-time. Start date as soon as possible according to agreement, and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. A probationary period of 6 months will be applied.
