The Premises Supply Unit is responsible for the agency's premises supply and works to ensure that police premises support operations and contribute to the police being present where citizens need us – today and in the future.
We are looking for you who are an experienced property developer with broad competence within the property and premises supply sector and who want to be involved in taking responsibility for a socially important operation in constant development.
Job Description
As a property developer, you are an overarching strategic resource who is part of the management group and plays a central role in developing the Swedish Police Authority's regional strategy for premises supply within the Stockholm region. You are responsible for analyzing the operations' needs, evaluating the economic consequences of different action alternatives, and converting this into decision support for management. The work requires close dialogue with the operations' coordinating resources and external actors, as well as the ability to package solution proposals in a clear and convincing manner.
As a property developer, you are part of the management group for the regional premises supply operation in close collaboration with the Administration Manager, Project Manager, and Regional Property Manager.
You report to the Regional Property Manager, and your workplace is in the region's capital, Stockholm. The position will involve travel within the region and to national meetings across the agency's regions.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Establish, lead, and work with the region's long-term strategy for premises supply and development
- Be part of the regional management group for premises supply and contribute to strategic decisions within the property and premises area
- Work closely with the Administration Manager, Project Manager, and Regional Manager to create coordinated and sustainable solutions
- Analyze budgets and conduct economic consequence analyses of premises strategic decision support
- Be a clear contact point in dialogue between operations' coordinating resources, management, and external property actors
- Drive development projects related to premises and properties, from needs analysis to decision support based on time and budget
- Support the operation in change processes and ensure purposeful, efficient, and sustainable premises
- Drive development within the region's property and project portfolio in close dialogue with the management group
- Contribute to strategic work within premises supply on a national level
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- academic education, for example in property economics, construction, technology, or law, or other education combined with experience that the employer deems relevant
- experience of working in/with a management group or equivalent strategic function
- good knowledge of Swedish
- Class B driver's license
- Swedish citizenship
It is meritorious if you also have:
- work experience of leading complex property projects or major renovations in rented premises
- experience of working within a state agency or another socially important operation that the employer deems relevant
- work experience of communicative tasks, for example communication within management groups or giving lectures/large meetings, that the employer deems relevant
- several years of work experience in property development and premises planning
- good insight into the premises supply process
- current work experience from a similar role that the employer deems relevant
- work experience of budget and result responsibility in a larger organization
- knowledge of rental law, contract management, and economic control
- experience of working in or near the public sector, including the application of the Public Procurement Act (LOU)
