About the position

Karlslundsgården is divided into five units. The units are focused on cognitive impairment, somatic diseases, and for people with hearing impairment. Approximately 68 tenants live at Karlslundsgården. As a nurse at Karlslundsgården, you lead the daily care work on the ward. You are part of a team consisting of assistant nurses, nurses, managers, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. In your role, you will have care responsibility for 16 tenants. During evening shifts, part of the work may take place in other residences, which means you will be mobile in your role.

You are expected to participate actively in business development and the design of individual quality of life for the tenants. We have a joint responsibility to deliver good quality and follow guidelines and decisions, while we dare to think creatively and use digital opportunities to contribute to increased security, safety, and independence for our tenants.

To contribute to increased security, safety, and independence, new technology and digital solutions are used. Among other things, sensor floors are installed in all apartments, which alarm in case of falls. Additional functions can be activated in consultation with the tenants, such as floor lighting at night, toilet alarms, and door alarms.

Examples of tasks:

• Assess and make decisions when municipal health care is relevant.
• Instruct and delegate care personnel according to established routines.
• Collaborate with other employees in the team as well as other professions, and contact with relatives and close ones.
• Document in our business systems to ensure safe and quality care.
• Contribute to the development of the business, dare to think new, and strive for continuous improvements.

About the workplace

Karlslundsgården is a five-story residence located at Gäddestavägen 2 in Karlslund. Here there are 68 apartments distributed over nine units with common areas and balconies on each floor.

With a focus on the person, we want to create a welcoming care and housing facility where good meetings and an active everyday life are a matter of course. Our business is based on innovative solutions, where we review routines and working methods to create sustainable care and housing for the future by daring to think new and creative.

As a nurse at Karlslundsgården, you will be part of the Health and Medical Care Organization (HS), where we gather all nurses and occupational therapists within the municipality's special housing for the elderly under one and the same organization. This also means that you get a manager who is fundamentally licensed and thus well versed in the issues you face in your work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are calm, secure, and can put yourself in the tenants' situation and thereby act professionally. You take responsibility for your duties included in your professional role. The work as a nurse includes close collaboration with colleagues and other professions, which requires that you work well with other people. You have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in an efficient way. As a nurse, you have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances. You are careful and aware of goals and quality standards. You place great importance on living up to these. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way so that you can communicate with tenants and other staff, and that you can document in writing what the business requires. Since documentation and the use of business systems occur, the position assumes that you have good computer skills.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse.
• Category B driver's license.

Merits:

• Experience as a nurse.
• Knowledge and/or experience in the field of cognitive impairment.
• Further education in geriatrics.
• Experience with the business systems Lifecare HSL, MCSS, NPÖ, Pascal, BPSD register, Senior Alert, Palliative register.
