At Svevia, we combine the camaraderie and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist with engagement, collaboration, and responsibility.

Your Role as a Road Worker

If you are interested in maintaining and servicing roads, this is the role for you. The work primarily consists of operational and maintenance-related tasks, such as grass and bramble clearing during the summer, repair and inventory of road equipment, litter picking within the road area, and minor asphalt repairs.

In addition, we conduct regular road inspections on approximately 100 miles of road to identify defects and plan and execute measures – all to create safe and secure roads for our citizens. A crucial part of our mission is winter road maintenance. Therefore, as a road worker, you are on winter standby, responsible for ensuring that snow clearing and ice control are carried out within our area.

The position is full-time based in Trollhättan, starting as agreed. Normal working hours are Monday–Friday 07:00–16:00, with on-call duties included. At Svevia, we apply individual salary setting.

Who Are You?

In our effort to develop both our work team and the business, you are vital to us, which is why we value your personal qualities. The work is varied, physical, and largely performed independently from or inside a vehicle. Therefore, we are looking for someone who can drive and plan their work independently, is engaged, and has the desire to learn and develop within Svevia and the road industry. You value and contribute to a good atmosphere, care about a good working environment, and prioritize high safety standards.

To succeed in the role, we require:

  • Category B driver's license
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Experience working digitally and with digital tools

The following are considered strong merits:

  • Experience in the contracting industry with a focus on operations and maintenance
  • Experience from winter road maintenance
  • Category C driver's license and YKB certification
  • APV training

Part of Something Bigger

Svevia is today Sweden's largest operations contractor. Within operations and maintenance, we handle summer and winter road maintenance for half of the state's road network. Many municipalities, private companies, and road associations hire us to take care of their roads and outdoor environments.

With us, you contribute to a larger whole. We plow for the family heading to the mountains. We ensure that commercial freight transport reaches its destination and keep streets, squares, and parks clean and tidy. Additionally, we protect lives on the road through our offerings in traffic safety measures.

Why Svevia?

With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we strive to be a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to make your voice heard. At the same time, you become part of a practical reality and a company where concrete results are created with steaming asphalt pavers, large snowplows, and tons of rebar and concrete. With your professional skills, you can make a difference on the road. And we always put safety first – both with care for your own working environment and the safety of others.

For those who want to take the next step in their development, there are many opportunities. Whether you want to deepen your expertise in a specific area or move into a leadership position. Together, we keep cities and the countryside running. Do you want to share the road with us?
