About the Role of Application Engineer

As an Application Engineer at NORD Drivsystem, you will work in a central role, collaborating closely with both customers and NORD's sales organization. You will be responsible for technical advisory throughout the entire sales process – from quotation to after-sales, where you develop technical solutions, perform calculations and documentation, and handle customer inquiries, service, and complaint cases. Furthermore, you will contribute specialist competence in customer meetings, support the sales team in business development, and ensure that the correct technical solution is offered and implemented. The role also includes training, improvement work, and coordination to ensure high quality and customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will be based at the headquarters in Upplands Väsby, and your immediate team consists of 3 colleagues with similar responsibilities. The position will involve some business travel to customers.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for technical advice and support to customers and the sales organization throughout the entire sales process from quotation to after-sales.
• Develop technical solutions, calculations, quotations, and documentation in close collaboration with the sales team and customers.
• Handle technical customer inquiries, troubleshooting, as well as service and complaint cases.
• Participate in customer meetings and visits together with the sales organization, contributing specialist competence in product selection, dimensioning, and system solutions.
• Conduct training for customers, partners, and colleagues regarding products and technical solutions.

About You

We are looking for you who have a technical engineering degree or work experience that can be considered equivalent. We would like you to have experience working with mechanics, electronics, and automation in roles such as Application Engineer, Automation Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar. You have also worked in a customer-facing role and thrive in the intersection between technology and business. Furthermore, you have a B driver's license and are fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

As a person, you are structured, solution-oriented, and technically inclined. You also have a natural aptitude for being pedagogical and clear in your communication. You are meticulous in your work and skilled at building relationships with customers and supporting colleagues across boundaries. For you, it is natural to take initiative and work independently.

Requirements for the Role:

• Engineering degree or work experience considered equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a customer-facing role and thriving in the intersection between technology and business.
• Experience in mechanics, electronics, and automation.
• Experience in power transmission, motors, drive systems, or other rotating equipment.
• Fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing.
• A valid B driver's license is required.

Meritorious Qualifications:

• Experience with ATEX and dimensioning tools.
• Experience with PLC.
