This position reports to: Service Manager.

In this senior and strategic role, you will act as ABB Service's leading technical representative towards our customers. The role combines deep technical competence with a strong advisory and coordinating focus, where trust, credibility, and long-term value creation are central. You work with a holistic perspective of the service organization and guide both customers and internal teams toward the right technical decisions.

Your role and responsibilities

• Represent ABB Service to customers from a leading technical and advisory perspective
• Act as a senior technical authority, trusted advisor, and operational problem solver
• Lead and contribute to pre-studies, technical evaluations, and early customer dialogues
• Coordinate and guide engineers and specialists, ensuring identified needs are implemented efficiently
• Challenge existing solutions and propose improved system designs with a critical and analytical approach
• Create synergies between service, sales, contract management, and project organization
• Contribute to long-term customer relationships built on competence, integrity, and trust

Your background

You have a solid technical foundation combined with seniority, confidence, and the ability to navigate complex customer and organizational environments. You are comfortable in a leadership role, can influence decisions, and ensure that the right work is done by the right people.

• Degree from university or equivalent
• Several years of experience in automation, control systems, or industrial system development
• In-depth knowledge of ABB's control and automation systems, specifically 800xA
• Background as a senior automation engineer or technical consultant
• Strong competence in system design and practical, hands-on understanding from customer-facing roles
• Documented ability to work strategically with customers and identify long-term business opportunities
• Experience from regulated or high-reliability industries, such as nuclear power or pharmaceuticals, is advantageous
• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English
