The Quality and Follow-up Unit is part of the Development and Quality Department and forms part of the central Education Administration. The unit's responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing school operations in Uppsala Municipality, managing state subsidy applications to the Swedish National Agency for Education, and coordinating the practice-based education of teacher students in schools. We work in an exciting environment using an activity-based working model, meaning that many administrations share workspaces in various locations depending on activities. We are located in the new City Hall and in new, modern premises with an excellent commute location right next to Uppsala Central Station.
This position is for a duration of 6 months, starting in August or early September.
Description of Duties
In this role, your primary task will be to help our schools maintain accurate data in our student administrative systems. This means you will coordinate the management and registration of school data across all municipal schools. You will work closely with a team to design and develop user support for pedagogical and administrative staff within the administration. The role involves being an expert and, together with your team, ensuring quality assurance and reporting statistics to the Swedish Council for Higher Education and the Swedish National Bureau of Statistics. The job also includes acting as first-line support for issues related to school administrative systems, as well as planning and leading training sessions and meetings.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have an academic education that the employer deems relevant for the position. To succeed in the role, you must have documented experience working in administrative systems and understanding the logic of how these systems are structured. The job requires very good knowledge of Excel. You must be able to handle formulas and pivot tables, process data, and use Excel as a tool to generate reports, tables, and simpler analyses. You must also be able to explain functions to others. We would appreciate experience in quality-assuring large datasets, where you combine detailed analysis with working towards clear deadlines.
You are quality-conscious and ensure that processes, routines, and working methods follow set goals, decisions, and quality standards. You work in a structured manner, planning, organizing, and prioritizing process work efficiently. You have strong pedagogical skills and an understanding of people's different prerequisites for absorbing knowledge. You have good collaboration skills and work attentively with managers, operations, and support functions to develop and improve joint processes.
