Are you looking for a job that challenges, develops, and truly engages you? Within infectious disease care, you will encounter a varied and educational daily routine where no two days are alike. Here you work together with colleagues who support, inspire, and grow together – while making a real difference in people's lives.
Job Description
As a nurse with us, you will become an important part of the ward's work with patients suffering from acute and often complex infectious diseases. The work is varied and developmental, where you are responsible for nursing care, sample collection, medication management, as well as handling various access points, drains, and medical technology equipment.
You work closely with doctors, assistant nurses, and other professions in a cross-professional team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and patient focus permeate everyday life. To ensure you feel secure in your role, we offer an individualized introduction with mentorship and regular follow-ups.
With us, you have the opportunity to build broad clinical experience and develop specialized competence within infectious disease care. We invest in competence development through internal training and participation in the organization's development work. After one year of employment, there is also the opportunity to apply for specialist training with maintained salary.
Once you have settled in, there is an opportunity to further develop towards outpatient clinic work. There you will meet patients with, among other things, HIV, hepatitis, TB, MRSA, and immunodeficiency in an exciting and specialized outpatient service.
About the Workplace
The Infectious Disease Clinic is responsible for specialized infectious disease care in Västmanland and consists of both a care ward and a specialist clinic. Although we are a smaller clinic, the commitment is great – here about 80 employees work together with a common goal: to provide patients with the best possible care and to develop Sweden's best infectious disease clinic.
With us, you will meet a strong sense of team spirit, close collaboration, and a work environment where we support each other across professional and team boundaries. We value structure, good planning, and clear routines, while constantly driving development and improvement work forward throughout the entire operation.
It is precisely the combination of high competence, great commitment, and the desire to develop together that makes our clinic a workplace where people thrive, grow, and want to stay.
For us, it is important that you feel good and enjoy your job, which is why we offer you:
- Opportunities for competence development through, for example, internal training
- A workplace for all stages of life, with the possibility of flexible working hours within certain limits
- Free training at our fully equipped gym
- A wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK/year

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a registered nurse, or who are at the end of your education and soon ready to take the step into professional life. If you have previous experience within the profession or from similar operations, it is meritorious, but most important to us is your desire to develop and contribute to the team. Since the role involves close contact with patients, relatives, and colleagues, you need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
To thrive with us, we believe you are a secure and responsible person with good self-insight. You have the ability to maintain calm, focus, and professionalism even when the workday changes quickly or the pace becomes high. At the same time, you are flexible, solution-oriented, and accustomed to structuring your work independently.
With us, teamwork is crucial. We value collaboration, clear communication, and the willingness to help each other highly, because we know that this creates both safe care and a good work environment. You meet people in vulnerable situations every day, which makes empathy, sensitivity, and a warm approach natural parts of your working style.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for you who want to contribute to both the team's cohesion and the patients' best interests.
