Description

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach music in grades 6–9. The position is 70%.

Responsibilities

You will work as a teacher in a grade 7–9 team. Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching, both individually and in collaboration with others. You will become part of a team where you participate in follow-up and analysis of results. Mentorship duties may be included in the position.

The position may be expanded if other, more suitable qualifications are available.

• You have teacher certification and qualifications to teach music for grades 6–9.
• You have strong collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to develop operations and see opportunities.
• You are both project-oriented and results-driven, able to work independently and take initiative.
• You can capture and deepen students' interest in the subject, have a strong interest in students' knowledge development, and see opportunities for growth.
• You enjoy meeting students, have good interpersonal skills, and can create a sense of inclusion in the group.
• You contribute to collegial learning.

Other Information

Järvsö School has approximately 400 students from preschool class to grade 9. Our units are located centrally in Järvsö, where grades 4–9 are housed, and in Nybo, about 5 km from the town center, where preschool class to grade 3 are located. The school also houses the Järvsö Library, and the youth center is located adjacent to the school.

Within walking distance, you will find the town center and Öjeberget, featuring an alpine facility, mountain bike park, lighted cross-country skiing trails, an ice rink, a golf course, a pump track for cycling, and the wildlife park Vildriket with the predator center "De 5 Stora". Järvsö is a town with a growing population, strong development, and bright optimism for the future.
