Do you want to combine technology, image quality, and customer experience in a key role?

At Götaplatsens Foto, you will work in an environment where the craft of image processing is at the center. We are now looking for a Lab Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for our photo lab – someone driven by quality, structure, and a genuine interest in photography and technology.

In this role, you are responsible for ensuring the lab runs smoothly every day. You create structure in the work, ensure that production maintains the highest quality, and make sure that both machines and workflows function optimally. At the same time, you are a key part of the customer experience, where your understanding of images and service helps ensure that every delivery exceeds customer expectations.

You work closely with the store team and are the natural point of contact for lab-related questions, priorities, and improvements. The role requires that you thrive in an operational daily routine, but also that you have the ability to see the big picture and develop working methods over time.

In your daily work, you produce image products such as film development, photo books, and canvas prints, while continuously monitoring quality and delivery times. You ensure that the lab is organized, clean, and functions as an efficient production environment.

You have special responsibility for ensuring that machines are used correctly, that maintenance is performed according to plan, and that any issues are caught early. If necessary, you coordinate with external technicians – always with a focus on ensuring stable operations and high quality.

Customer interaction is a natural part of the role, where you contribute your expertise to find the right solutions and ensure that every customer feels confident in their choice.

Your responsibilities in brief

You will have broad responsibilities, including:

• Producing all analog and digital images.
• Producing photo books and canvas prints.
• Maintaining ongoing contact with customers via email and in-person meetings to ensure a high level of service and that every customer receives the help they need.
• Ensuring efficient routines, structure, and workload distribution in the lab.
• Managing inventory, orders, and material availability.
• Ensuring that machines and equipment are maintained and function optimally.
• Coordinating service and planning preventive maintenance.
• Ensuring high quality in all image production – both analog and digital.
• Maintaining a high service level and handling customer cases professionally.

We believe you:

• Have experience from a photo lab, image production, or similar technical operations.
• Have a strong interest and knowledge in photography (analog is a requirement, as well as digital).
• Are structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking responsibility.
• Have a good technical understanding and a solution-oriented approach to work.
• Put the customer first and are driven by delivering high quality.
• Are a flexible person who is also willing to work in the store if needed.

Job Information

Employment type: Full-time, permanent with an initial 6-month probationary period.
Location: Gothenburg
