We are now looking for an experienced Purchaser for a project with an industrial client in the Stockholm area. This role is ideal for you who thrive in a business-oriented purchasing function with responsibility for suppliers, material flows, orders, follow-up, and commercial matters.

You will become an important part of the purchasing and supply chain work, collaborating closely with production, planning, quality, and engineering to ensure stable deliveries, appropriate cost levels, and efficient purchasing flows.

About the role

As a Purchaser, you are responsible for driving the purchasing process within assigned supplier or material areas. The role covers both operational and commercial aspects, where you handle the ongoing purchasing process while contributing to improvements, supplier follow-up, and cost-conscious decision-making.

You will have daily contact with suppliers and internal stakeholders and are expected to work independently in an environment where delivery precision, structure, and problem-solving are central.

Responsibilities

You will, among other things:

• Ensure material availability in close collaboration with planning and production
• Follow up on suppliers regarding delivery precision, quality, cost, and deviations
• Handle delays, delivery risks, and escalations
• Support negotiations regarding price, terms, and delivery arrangements
• Work with supplier data, item information, and updates in business systems
• Contribute to improved purchasing processes and more efficient working methods
• Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, production, engineering, quality, and finance

We are looking for someone who has

• Experience of purchasing in an industrial, technical, or manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of purchasing processes, supplier follow-up, and material flows
• Ability to handle multiple parallel issues with structure and clear prioritization
• Good system proficiency, preferably from ERP or purchasing systems
• A solution-oriented and business-minded approach
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have experience with:

• Strategic or tactical purchasing work
• Negotiation, contracts, or commercial supplier dialogue
• Direct material, indirect material, or project purchasing
• Manufacturing industry or technically complex products
• SAP, IFS, Monitor, Jeeves, or similar business systems
• Work close to production, planning, logistics, or quality

Start: According to agreement

Duration: Initially 6–12 months, with possibility of extension
