About the Role

Perido is currently recruiting an Operational Buyer for our client, a major player in the automotive industry. The position is located at the client's office in Gothenburg.

Your Responsibilities

This is an operational purchasing role focused on supporting the business by procuring goods and services required for daily operations. The work includes both indirect purchases, such as office supplies, computers, travel, maintenance, and spare parts, as well as direct purchases linked to production and operations. The role is primarily operational and administrative rather than strategic. The focus is on handling a high volume of smaller tasks while maintaining structure, pace, and good service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate purchasing processes
• Product and service sourcing
• Supplier contacts and supplier follow-up
• Negotiation of prices and terms
• Handle many parallel orders and ad hoc requests
• Ensure structure and prioritization in a high-paced work environment
• Support internal stakeholders in operational purchasing matters
• Administrative handling related to purchasing and order flows

Your Profile

You are a structured and organized person with high work capacity and the ability to handle many tasks in parallel without losing focus. You work quickly and efficiently, are good at prioritizing, and thrive in a role where the pace varies and focus needs to shift between different tasks. Furthermore, you are energetic, driven, and have a service-oriented approach with good communication skills. You adapt easily to new situations, take initiative, and work independently while appreciating collaboration and contributing to the team's common goals.

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in purchasing, coordination, or similar administrative/operational roles
• Accustomed to working independently with general guidance
• Good ability to prioritize and switch between different tasks
• Structured, organized, and solution-oriented
• Communicative and service-oriented
• Quick learner and self-motivated
• Thrives in an environment with a high pace and many contact points

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience from the automotive industry
• Previous experience in operational purchasing or supply chain

Scope and Start Date

Full-time, consultancy assignment until 2026-11-16, with the possibility of extension. Start date: 2026-06-15.
