We are now looking for several residential support workers for our team at Nytida Kungsvägen. We offer training and a developing job where you make a difference! The positions are full-time/part-time.

About Nytida Kungsvägen Nytida is opening a brand new specialized housing facility in Gävle – Kungsvägen, and we are now looking for you who want to be involved from the start and build a safe, modern, and professional operation together with us. The housing is intended for people with intellectual/psychosocial disabilities and offers support according to the Social Services Act (SoL). There are 20 apartments for the residents. The facility is located on the outskirts of southern Gävle. There is a walking distance to the grocery store, about 300 meters to the nearest bus stop, and from there you can reach central Gävle by public transport in 6 minutes.

About the role As a residential support worker, you base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes and provide support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you work with the goal of making the day meaningful and content-rich. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, social contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your duties also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call.

You have a unit manager and an operations manager close to you who spend part of their time working in the operation. This can also be a future career opportunity for you.

Your experience and knowledge You who apply have a high school education in care and nursing or other equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is meritorious if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.
