Description

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Spanish in grades 6-9. The position is 50% and is a temporary assignment for the school year autumn 2026/spring 2027.

Responsibilities

You will work as a teacher in a team for grades 7-9. Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching, both individually and collaboratively. You will become part of a team where you participate in follow-up and analysis of results. Mentorship duties may be included in the role.

The position may be expanded if other suitable qualifications are available.

Qualifications

• You have a teaching license and qualifications to teach Spanish in grades 6-9.
• You have good collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to develop operations and see opportunities.
• You are both project-oriented and results-driven, able to work independently and take initiative.
• You can capture and deepen students' interest in the subjects you teach, have a strong interest in students' knowledge development, and see possibilities for growth.
• You enjoy meeting students and have good skills in building relationships and creating inclusion within the group.
• You contribute to collegial learning.

About Järvsö School

Järvsö School has approximately 400 students from preschool class to grade 9. Our units are located centrally in Järvsö, where grades 4-9 have their premises, and in Nybo, approximately 5 km from the town center, where preschool class to grade 3 are located. The school also houses the Järvsö library, and the youth center is located adjacent to the school.

Within walking distance, you will find the town center and Öjeberget, featuring an alpine facility and mountain bike park, a lit trail for cross-country skiing, an ice hall, a golf course, a pump track for cycling, and the wildlife park Vildriket with the predator center De 5 Stora.
