Job Description

As a Social Secretary/Resource Case Manager within Children and Young People in Malung-Sälen Municipality, you will work with authority exercises according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act, as well as other relevant legal provisions. The position also includes supporting the reception function during peaks, holidays, and other absences. Your task is to pre-assess, investigate, evaluate, make decisions, and follow up on measures for children and young people aged 0-18 in a legally secure manner.

The work entails:

Processing investigations and measures for children and young people.
Evaluating protection needs and support measures for children, young people, and their families.
Preventive work and collaboration with outpatient care, schools, healthcare, and other actors.
Decision-making and follow-up of approved measures and placed children.
Collaboration with colleagues and coordinators to ensure legally secure and efficient processing.
Work with structured measures, such as placements and support to foster homes.
The role also involves working closely with family law secretaries and foster home secretaries, where collaboration within and between groups is a natural part of daily work.
Covering the reception function when needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have good knowledge of current social legislation, are motivated to take on the new Social Services Act, and preferably have experience from working in social services for children and young people. You are confident in your profession, have an easy time expressing yourself in speech and writing, and enjoy taking your own initiatives. You are receptive, team-oriented, and treat people with respect - both colleagues and those you meet in your work.
