In Sandviken's municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where collaboration and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Björksätra School

Björksätra School is a multicultural F-9 school in the district of Björksätra in Sandviken. You can easily get here using public transportation. We are close to forests and nature, which we have the opportunity to use in our teaching. There are also several sports facilities nearby that are used frequently. During the 2025/2026 school year, we have approximately 300 students in grades F-6. The school leadership consists of a principal and two assistant principals for grades F-6. We are proud to have an inspiring collegial environment, including several lead teachers in various subject areas. This means that as an employee at Björksätra School, there are good future development opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

With us, you work at the heart of the students' daily lives, both during school hours and at the after-school center. You are responsible for art teaching in the school, where you awaken students' joy of creation, expressive ability, and curiosity, while also contributing to their knowledge development according to the curriculum.

During after-school hours, you are an important part of creating a safe, stimulating, and meaningful activity where learning continues in other forms. Here, you plan and carry out activities that strengthen students' social skills, creativity, and hope for the future.

Our focus is clear: learning, development, and the student's best interest at the center – all day long.

You contribute by:

• Planning and leading activities that promote students' learning and social development
• Creating a safe and inclusive environment in the after-school center
• Collaborating closely with colleagues to achieve common goals

Qualifications and Merits

Requirements:

• Trained and certified after-school educator (lärare i fritidshem), preferably with qualification in art
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written
• Good familiarity with the curriculum documents for primary school

Meritorious:

• Experience with digital tools and good IT competence

• Creative and inspiring, with a burning interest in aesthetic learning processes
• Ability to combine structure in teaching with playfulness and exploration in the after-school center
• Strong desire to contribute to change and make a difference
