We are looking for a Construction Manager within telecommunications (ERTMS) for the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket).

The assignment is a full-time consulting role based at one of Trafikverket's offices in Gothenburg, Linköping, Malmö, Stockholm, or Örebro.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role involves working as a Construction Manager within the telecommunications technical area in the ERTMS program. The assignment includes leading and coordinating contracts in collaboration with the contractor and project manager, ensuring that the work is carried out according to contracts, plans, authority requirements, and Trafikverket's governing documents. The role includes monitoring time, economy, quality, environment, and working environment, as well as acting as the client's representative on the construction site. Furthermore, it involves collaboration with authorities and external parties, as well as technical support and knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities

Review and provide feedback on the contractor's drawings and documentation, ensuring these are followed during on-site implementation together with the project manager.

Monitor and forecast schedules, economy, costs, final costs, and handle and document changes, additions, and quantity deviations.

Ensure compliance with authority requirements, permits, contracts, standards, and client requirements, and monitor deviations.

Monitor and report on the contract's status regarding technology, economy, time, quality, environment, working environment, and safety, including monthly reporting.

Participate in and contribute to construction and economic meetings, design work, procurement, and selection of technical solutions.

Coordinate with the contractor, project management, other technical branches, adjacent contracts, and external parties such as authorities and property owners.

Perform follow-up during the execution phase, including inspections, self-control, surveys, and ensure that requirements are met.

Participate in contact with authorities, maintain contact with the base contractor, and monitor authority permits.

Document the project through diaries, final documentation, and reporting on status and economy.

Contribute to good relationships with landowners and stakeholders, and ensure collaboration in the project's quality, environment, and safety work.

Carry out the assignment in collaboration with the project manager and assist with technical advice and knowledge transfer.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

Very good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Good knowledge of working with Microsoft Office software, primarily Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Valid driver's license (Category B).

Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and directives such as AB04, AMA, and measurement and compensation rules (MER) within the current Telecommunications area.

10 years of work experience as a Telecommunications Construction Manager or BPU Tele (site supervisor) from railway projects. The work experience must not be older than 15 years.

Merits

Valid qualification as a Health and Safety Planner (SoS-planner).

You have worked for at least 1 year in the construction and building of Opto 2.0 facilities including Telehouses.

You have local knowledge within the Control Area (SO) Bjärka Säby (Tjust Line & Stångådals Line) and SO Hallsberg.

You have at least 3 years of work experience as a Telecommunications Construction Manager within ERTMS projects.
