Your Role

As a Pipefitter, your role involves working on and maintaining ships with a high level of technical complexity. The work is varied and offers excellent opportunities to develop your craftsmanship and professional knowledge.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manufacturing of one-off parts
• Maintenance work
• Renovation and conversion of the Navy's surface ships

The work is performed both onboard ships and in the workshop. Domestic travel may be required.

Your Profile

To apply for this role, you must have:

• Education in plumbing (HVAC/piping) or welding
• Experience and knowledge in TIG welding and brazing/soldering methods
• A few years of professional experience in the field

The position requires fluency in spoken and written Swedish, as well as holding at least a Category B driver's license.

The following qualifications are meritorious:

• Crane operator certificate and experience operating cranes
• Experience working with overhead cranes, forklifts, mobile platforms, and heavy lifting operations.
• Experience in machining materials, including drilling, turning, milling, and threading.

Working hours are during the day, but shift work may occur.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
