Chef de Cuisine at Restaurant Orangeriet – MattiasMat

Restaurant Orangeriet is our most modern kitchen. Here, we work with bold flavors, modern influences, and a great passion for cooking that feels both innovative and natural. We are now looking for a chef who wants to join us in continuing to develop one of Skövde's most creative lunch kitchens.

About Orangeriet

Restaurant Orangeriet is located right in the middle of Science Park Skövde – at the heart of innovation, research, and entrepreneurship. Here, we meet a conscious and quality-oriented audience daily who appreciate modern cooking, green elements, and thoughtful flavors.

Every day, we serve three well-composed lunch dishes:

  • a modern vegetarian dish with plenty of greens and bold flavors,
  • a creative and colorful modern dish with high recognizability,
  • and a more classic dish – always with our own modern twist.

For us, cooking is about balancing innovation, quality, and the joy of food. We work seasonally, use local ingredients when possible, and always strive to be early adopters of trends and development.

Your Responsibilities

As a chef at Orangeriet, you will become an important part of a creative team where ideas, development, and quality are at the center.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

  • preparing the daily lunches,
  • menu planning and development of new dishes,
  • conference lunches and business lunches,
  • catering and events,
  • planning, preparations, and daily kitchen operations.

The work is primarily scheduled during daytime on weekdays, although some evenings and events may occur.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who love cooking and are driven by creating flavor experiences with both quality and personality.

You are:

  • creative and curious,
  • engaged and self-motivated,
  • confident in the basics but enjoy developing and testing new things,
  • meticulous with both taste and presentation,
  • a team player who contributes positive energy to the kitchen.

We would appreciate if you have a few years of experience as a chef and a culinary education or equivalent experience.

A B-driver's license is an advantage as we also work with catering and events.

About MattiasMat

Under the brand MattiasMat, we operate several restaurants and businesses in Skövde and the surrounding area – all with different concepts and directions but with the same passion for food, service, and people.

Besides Orangeriet, we operate among others the Golf Restaurant at Skövde Golf Club, Restaurant Mode, Restaurant Tradition, Restaurant Tranan, Axevalla Horse Racing Restaurant, as well as the restaurant and event operations in Arena Skövde.
