About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will become safer and more secure for everyone. We are the agency responsible for prisons, probation, remand prisons, and client transport.
The Service Center for the Swedish Prison and Probation Service (KSC) supports the agency with personnel and economic administrative services, support functions, and the agency's switchboard function. The goal of KSC is to reduce administration for managers and client-facing staff through a combination of centralization and increased support.
The position is located within the Section for Personnel Administration. The section's work includes, among other things, payroll, personnel, and schedule administration, travel expenses, and reimbursements. As an employee in the section, you are offered a secure employment with good benefits. These include favorable holiday terms, flexible working hours, wellness benefits, and the possibility of remote work.
Job Description
In the role of Payroll Officer, you work with the ongoing tasks related to our payroll cycle, e.g., watch lists, error and signal lists, absence administration, and debts. You also work with registering employments, drawing up employment contracts, and creating certificates for various authorities. You are a support for employees and managers throughout the agency, both via our case management system and by phone. If you enjoy working to provide the best service and support our core operations, we hope you will apply to us. We encourage our employees to participate in developing our processes and working methods. The role of Payroll Officer may also include participation in various assignments regarding, for example, improvement work within our processes and internal controls.
