Do you want to make a difference for thousands of train passengers every day? As an operational traffic information officer, you are responsible for conveying accurate and fast information, contributing to ensuring that everyone travels smoothly, sustainably, and safely. Are you our new colleague?
Job Description
Do you thrive when no two days are alike?
As an operational traffic information officer, you will enjoy a rewarding, challenging, and fun job with comprehensive induction, training, and supervision to help you get started in the best possible way. You will begin your employment with paid on-site training at the Traffic Control Centre in Gothenburg. Our traffic information officers ensure that the flow of information works effectively and that train passengers receive the right information and good opportunities for alternative travel when unexpected events occur in traffic. This can range from delayed and cancelled trains to platform changes. You play a key role in collecting, compiling, and disseminating information about the traffic situation, both to your colleagues and, for example, to railway companies. You do this via computerized monitoring systems and collaboration with external partners, traffic controllers, and other traffic information officers. You inform train passengers primarily via platform signs, monitors, and loudspeakers, and lay the groundwork for information on various websites, apps, and media. When train traffic is running as planned, you will have quieter periods where you mainly monitor and stand ready in case the traffic situation changes.
Since the operations run around the clock, you will work various shifts according to a schedule, 365 days a year and 24 hours a day, including night shifts. The base salary is 29,000–31,000 SEK for the position, which also applies during the training period.
Qualifications
Who are you?
You always keep the passenger in focus and thrive working in an operational and dynamic environment. You are attentive and communicative, and have an easy time making yourself understood in a calm and clear manner. In your daily work, you have no problem maintaining concentration even during quieter moments, and you understand that monitoring requires alertness and responsibility. However, you are also the one who quickly ramps up when the pace increases – you keep your cool, prioritize correctly, and solve situations together with your colleagues. You enjoy working with others and have a natural ability to build good relationships. At the same time, you are analytical and proactive, ensuring you stay one step ahead, always with the passenger's best interest in mind.
You are motivated by active employee participation, where you consciously take responsibility for your tasks while being aware of how you contribute to the whole by collaborating with others.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A high school education, or equivalent knowledge through other studies.
- At least 1 year of work experience.
- Experience working with multiple different digital programs and/or IT systems simultaneously.

It is an advantage if you have:
- Work experience from operational activities such as a traffic control centre, alarm centre, operations control centre, or other event-driven activities that we consider equivalent.
- Current experience working irregular hours, such as shifts (varying between day, evening, weekend, and night).
