About the workplace

Jobbcentrum is a unit within the 'Working Life and Livelihood' area of the Social and Care Administration in Hudiksvall Municipality. Here, we work with labor market issues, financial assistance, settlement and reception of newly arrived refugees, as well as the municipal activity responsibility.

Our mission is to create conditions for inclusion, self-sufficiency, and participation in society. We work in teams where social secretaries and coaches work together to provide coordinated and cross-professional support.

The unit has two main tasks:

• To support, motivate, and coach individuals towards independence, work, or studies and self-sufficiency.
• To investigate and make decisions regarding financial assistance to ensure a reasonable standard of living during the period.

Job Responsibilities

As a social secretary with us, you work with administrative authority within financial assistance. You investigate, assess, and make decisions according to current legislation, ensuring a legally secure and professional handling of cases.

The work involves both qualified investigative work and close encounters with people in various life situations. You must be able to apply legislation correctly, make independent assessments, and express yourself clearly and correctly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You document in the business system Treserva and collaborate both internally within the municipality and with external actors.

Recruitment is ongoing, and we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A probationary period may be applicable.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or an equivalent bachelor's degree. It is desirable that you have experience with administrative authority, preferably within financial assistance, and good knowledge of relevant legislation.

You have good digital competence, are accustomed to working in various systems, and have good knowledge of the Office package. Experience with Treserva is an advantage.

As a person, you are structured and have the ability to make well-founded decisions even under time pressure and with sometimes limited information. You are sensitive, respectful, and have a genuine commitment to social work. You also enjoy working flexibly in a changing organization.

About the Administration

We are here for people. We offer various types of support to children, young people, families, and adults who in some way need our interventions. We provide people with the support needed to then move forward on their own to work, studies, or otherwise receive help to develop. We take care of our elderly when they need support in their daily lives. We are one of the few municipalities in Sweden with a consolidated social services administration. This means that administrative authority as well as treatment and support measures are in the same administration. We see this as a huge strength.
