Would you like to become our new colleague?
We offer you a permanent position starting as agreed. We prefer that you work full-time, but we are open to dialogue regarding the percentage of employment.
As a psychologist at the health centre, you will be part of a competent and friendly team. You will collaborate with all professions at the health centre. Working in a team means that we help each other, communicate, and continuously develop our competence together.
We focus on secure employment, and with us, you receive benefits that make a difference. Read about them here (Region Uppsala Benefits Brochure (https://www.regionuppsala.se/Global/Jobba%20hos%20oss/karri%E4rwebben/F%F6rm%E5nsbroschyr%20Region%20Uppsala_2019.pdf)).
Your Role
As a psychologist, you work with mental ill health and psychological aspects of health complaints, contributing the psychological perspective that complements the medical and social perspectives at the health centre. You work independently using primary care-adapted methods with adult patients aged 18 and older, and you also collaborate with other professional groups at the health centre as well as other actors.
Common problem areas that the psychologist encounters include depression, anxiety issues, sleep problems, pain, and stress. We work with triage, stepwise assessment, and treatment based on a county-wide care process for mental ill health.
The work involves psychological assessment and diagnosis, counseling, treatment, and handling of referrals. Treatment is provided based on national knowledge-based guidelines and both in groups and individually, via video and in person. Our interventions include support for self-help, psychological counseling, as well as shorter and longer interventions based on the patients' primary care needs.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with a focus on CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and have good knowledge of diagnostics and evidence-based treatment methods. Experience from working in primary care is meritorious.
To thrive in the role, you need to be comfortable handling large patient flows and combinations of assessments, shorter and longer interventions. You make correct judgments and prioritizations, weigh complex information, and show good judgment in action and decision-making. To succeed in the role, you need good pedagogical skills and an easy ability to connect with patients and put yourself in their perspective or situation.
Furthermore, you have a good ability to collaborate, are receptive, and solve challenges in a constructive way. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive your processes forward in a structured manner, planning, organizing, and prioritizing work effectively within set timeframes. You have the capacity to work independently and are quality-conscious. In addition, you see the big picture and consider the broader perspective. The role requires an interest in and ability to work in teams, and you are motivated by developing the operations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
