About Us

Region Uppsala has 1,800 employees working with primary care and health in the county. We offer a wide range of services within primary care, both at our own health centres and within habilitation. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Östervåla Health Centre is located in a beautiful agricultural and forestry area in Heby Municipality, northwest of Uppsala. We are a small unit with 31 dedicated employees, including doctors, district nurses, nurses, assistant nurses, medical secretaries, physiotherapists, dietitians, psychologists, and social workers. We are responsible for 6,300 registered patients and also include the district nurse clinic in Tärnsjö in our operations.

Thanks to our focus on elderly care, we have managed to develop routines and working methods that are at the forefront of care for the elderly in the Region. We offer a permanent full-time position, with a start date by agreement.

Your Role

Here, you will work in close collaboration with all professions at the health centre. Your tasks will consist of reception work with acute and planned visits, primarily directed towards the elderly. You will be responsible for a nursing home and for home healthcare, making team home visits with the municipality's nurses. We have good routines and very good cooperation with the municipality.

The role also includes supervising medical students and AT/ST doctors, as well as some on-call duties.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you with specialist competence in general medicine or geriatrics, with Swedish licensure and good ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You enjoy working together with other professions close to the patient and would like to contribute to the development of the operations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
