Our 1,800 employees work with primary care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centres or within habilitation services, and we provide advice by phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Your Role

Here, you will work in close collaboration with all professions at the health centre. Your duties consist of reception work with acute and scheduled visits, primarily directed towards the elderly. You will be responsible for a nursing home, home care, and team home visits with the municipality's nurses. We have good routines and very good cooperation with the municipality. The role also includes supervising medical students and resident doctors (AT/ST), as well as some on-call duties.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you with specialist competence in general medicine or geriatrics, with a Swedish license and good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You enjoy working together with other professions close to the patient and would like to contribute to the development of the operations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Our Operations

Östervåla is located in beautiful agricultural and forested countryside in Heby Municipality, northwest of Uppsala. The health centre has 31 dedicated employees consisting of doctors, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, physiotherapists, dietitians, psychologists, and counselors. We are responsible for 6,300 registered patients. The operations also include the district nurse clinic in Tärnsjö. We work based on the patient and strongly focus on quality and patient safety.

The health centre belongs to the Primary Care and Health administration in Region Uppsala. We want you to thrive and develop with us.
