Welcome to Östervåla Health Centre!

We are a small health centre with big opportunities, and we are looking for you who want to develop together with us. Thanks to our focus on elderly care, we have succeeded in developing routines and working methods that are at the forefront of care for our elderly population in the region. We offer a permanent full-time position, with a start date to be agreed upon.

Your Role

Here, you will work in close collaboration with all professions at the health centre. Your duties will include reception work with acute and planned visits, primarily directed towards the elderly. You will be responsible for a nursing home for the elderly, as well as home healthcare and team home visits with the municipality's nurses. We have good routines and excellent cooperation with the municipality. The role also includes supervising medical students and resident doctors (AT/ST), as well as some on-call duties.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you with specialist competence in general medicine or geriatrics, with Swedish licensure and good ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You enjoy working together with other professions close to the patient and would like to contribute to the development of the operations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Our Operations

Östervåla is located in beautiful agricultural and forestry countryside in Heby Municipality, northwest of Uppsala. The health centre has 31 dedicated employees consisting of doctors, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, physiotherapists, dietitians, psychologists, and social workers. We are responsible for 6,300 listed patients. The operations also include the district nurse reception in Tärnsjö. We work from a patient perspective and strongly focus on quality and patient safety.

The health centre belongs to the 'Close Care and Health' administration in Uppsala County. We want you to thrive and develop with us.
