About the workplace

The home care service in Askersund Municipality consists of 6 work groups, three urban groups, two rural groups, and a night patrol. We work in teams to collaborate and leverage our different experiences and competencies for the benefit of our users. The team consists of nursing staff, nurses, occupational therapists, unit managers, as well as other professionals such as doctors, dementia nurses, and physiotherapists.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant in home care, you work with users who need care and support in their own homes. The tasks are varied. You provide support and services based on the user's individual needs, resources, and opportunities, and are responsible for ensuring the user receives good care.

The duties include nursing tasks and performing health and medical care tasks on delegation from a nurse. Documentation is an important task, and you are responsible for continuously documenting in our journal systems.

Working hours are scheduled only for weekends, which means you work Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday, plus two evenings during an eight-week period in connection with workplace meetings.

Qualifications

To work with us, you must be at least 18 years old. We prefer that you have completed education within the Care and Nursing program and have applied for a protected professional title. It is an advantage if you have work experience in care activities deemed suitable for the position, such as somatic care, rehabilitation, and/or care for dementia patients.

You have the ability to work with other people, to listen, show empathy, and respect. You are responsible and positively acknowledge others' work efforts. Furthermore, you have a professional approach towards users, relatives, and colleagues. You can independently plan and structure the work. It is important that you respect decisions made and contribute to the development of the operations and a good working environment.

We want you to master the Swedish language to a level where you can communicate with users, relatives, and other staff, as well as document in writing as required by the operations. We prefer that you have good computer skills and an interest in digitalization, as we use several digital tools in our daily lives. The position requires cycling skills and a Category B driver's license.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

The position is subject to necessary decisions being made. Interviews are conducted continuously. Employment may take place during the advertisement period.
