We are now looking for engaged personal assistants for a young man in Märsta with autism, severe developmental disability, and epilepsy. The client has no spoken language but communicates through signs and body language, and understands individual words. He is sensitive to changes and functions best with clear routines, fixed schedules, and people he knows well.

About the role As an assistant, you will play a vital role in a daily life built on security, clarity, and predictability. The client is extroverted and may react strongly to stress, loud noises, or changes in routine; therefore, the work is always performed in a team of two assistants.

The duties include, among other things:

• Personal hygiene and support with daily routines
• Meal times and household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry
• Activation and support during leisure activities, e.g., swimming and walks
• Accompanying to healthcare visits and other social contacts
• On-call night duty (sleeping on call)

Who are you? We are looking for someone who is secure, calm, and stable, and who is not stressed by unpredictable situations. You have patience, can read the client, and meet him on his terms even when things get intense. At the same time, you are willing to set boundaries and push him forward in his development.

Since the client is extroverted and has epilepsy, the following are requirements for the role:

• Experience with low-affective handling (calm and non-reactive approach)
• Experience with epilepsy and managing epileptic seizures

Working hours Varying hours, primarily mornings, evenings, weekends, and night on-call duty.
