Ideno School is a grades F-6 school located just outside central Hudiksvall, with close proximity to nature and forests. The school's guiding principle is "We learn together, we make each other better".

Although the school is situated in a rural area, it is close to the city. The proximity to the forest allows for practical application of theoretical subjects. The school grounds feature large areas for outdoor activities and have their own ice rink. During the season, a groomed ski track is also located directly adjacent to the schoolyard.

Our focus is on increasing students' own responsibility for their learning. We work on motivation by providing knowledge about goals, building confidence in their own capacity and ability, and through feedback and teaching adapted to the individual student. In our subject groups, we regularly develop and analyze our teaching methods.

Job Responsibilities

Being a student assistant means supporting a student and preventing obstacles so that the student can reach their goals. This varies depending on the student's support needs. The role involves supporting the student during school hours as well as during the after-school center's activities. You will be part of the working group for a specific class as well as the after-school center's team. Working hours may vary between 06:00–18:00 on weekdays. You will work in a classroom environment and support the student throughout the day, including both indoor and outdoor activities.

Your Profile

You should have a high degree of personal responsibility and life experience, which is necessary to make good decisions in various situations. Knowledge of autism and other neuropsychiatric disabilities is desirable. Some tasks may require physical strength. We preferably seek a female candidate, as some duties involve intimate situations in changing rooms and toilet assistance. Experience from healthcare and social care is considered an asset.

About the Department

We teach children to read, calculate, and discover the world around them. We follow our youngest residents from preschool through to high school graduation. Through our adult education programs, we offer Swedish as a second language, individual courses, and longer education paths. With joy, engagement, participation, and a scientific foundation, we aim to increase knowledge, creativity, development, and the desire to learn.
