Do you want to be part of developing the production engineering work at Sweden's leading provider of maintenance services for rail vehicles? Now you have the chance with us at EuroMaint in Örebro. We are looking for a Production Engineer specializing in the maintenance of heavy components within the rail industry.
About the role
As a Production Engineer, you will become a key person in a close-knit and competent team with the goal of driving, developing, and optimizing production engineering work within EuroMaint. Our operations specialize in the maintenance and repair of heavy train components. The role of Production Engineer involves close collaboration with production, technology, quality, and occupational health and safety. You will drive and lead production engineering projects within train maintenance, focusing on robust, safe, and efficient processes for handling heavy components. Together with the team, you will be responsible for the business unit's improvement work and ensure it is conducted in a structured and long-term manner.
Examples of tasks:
- Conduct method and time studies with the aim of optimizing production according to LEAN principles
- Develop and improve lifting tools, fixtures, and workstations adapted for heavy components
- Administer and follow up on deviations related to production, safety, quality, and occupational health and safety
- Participate in risk analyses and investigate and follow up on routines and deviations
- Contribute to investments in new or upgraded machinery
- Calculate costs, capacity, and lead times in connection with new tenders and assignments
Your profile
We are looking for you who are a University Engineer in Mechanical Engineering with a few years of experience as a Production Engineer, or you with experience in the above-mentioned tasks.
You are used to working in business systems, master Excel, and have experience creating 2D layouts for production and workshop environments.
Meritorious if you have:
- Experience in machining
- Habit of writing technical investigations and reports
- Knowledge in 3D modeling and/or 3D printing
- Experience working in environments with heavy components or advanced industrial production
Good Swedish and English in speech and writing is a requirement.

You thrive planning, prioritizing, and driving multiple tasks in parallel, take responsibility for your projects, and are motivated by seeing concrete results. You take initiative, appreciate problem-solving, and value collaboration and the joint effort to succeed in delivery.
