To our client Siemens Energy, a leading global player in the energy industry, we are now looking for a Strategic Buyer for an assignment at their site in Finspång.

Thanks to high-tech and innovative product development, the company is an established partner in the energy sector, delivering advanced and sustainable solutions for the market's current and future needs.

This assignment offers you the opportunity to work in an international and forward-looking environment with many development possibilities.

This is initially a 12-month consulting assignment via Unik Resurs with very good prospects for extension.

We apply rolling selection, which means the assignment may be filled earlier than the final application date.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Do you want to work strategically with purchasing in an international and technology-intensive environment? Siemens Energy in Finspång is now looking for a driven and business-minded strategic buyer who wants to help develop future supplier relationships and purchasing strategies.

About the Role

As a strategic buyer, you are responsible for parts of the supplier base where you work with selecting, developing, and managing suppliers. The role involves close collaboration with both global purchasing teams and internal functions to ensure efficient and sustainable purchasing solutions.

You will, among other things:

• Create and drive purchasing strategies for various commodities and suppliers.
• Collaborate with global purchasing teams and implement global strategies where relevant.
• Negotiate contracts, price lists, and larger purchase orders.
• Handle escalations and support tactical/operational buyers.
• Drive cross-functional development projects to streamline processes and purchasing work.
• Contribute to long-term supplier relationships and business development.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is analytical, business-minded, and has a strong drive to create results. You thrive in a collaborative environment and find it easy to build relationships both internally and externally.

We believe you have:

• A university education in engineering, economics, or equivalent experience.
• Good analytical skills and experience working with data, for example in Excel.
• A strong business sense and the ability to see the big picture.
• Good collaboration skills across different functions and teams.
• A result-oriented work approach with a high service level.
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
• Technical understanding.

Merits

• Experience in strategic purchasing or commercial work.
• Experience or understanding within the welding field.
