Fagersta Stainless is one of the world's leading manufacturers of stainless steel wire rod and drawn wire. Our headquarters and production facilities are located in Fagersta, Sweden. In our rolling mill, we produce approximately 50,000 tons of wire rod annually, of which about 10,000 tons are further processed into drawn wire. Fagersta Stainless has an annual turnover of approximately 160 million Euros and employs around 250 people. Our products are sold worldwide, either directly from us or through a network of representatives. Fagersta Stainless is part of the Marcegaglia Group, a global leader in steel manufacturing. We are currently in an expansion phase with the goal of tripling our production volume and becoming Europe's largest producer of stainless steel wire and rod.

About the Role

As an HR Generalist, you will have a broad and varied role where you provide professional and close HR support to the business. You will work both operationally and administratively across the entire HR area and serve as a key support to the production management team.

Responsibilities include working with recruitment and onboarding, employment contracts, and ensuring that HR processes and personnel administration function efficiently and correctly. You will manage HR systems, personnel data, and reporting, maintain regular contact with the payroll function, and answer HR-related questions from managers and employees.

You will also be involved in competence development, occupational health and safety, well-being, and contribute to the development of HR routines, internal communication, and the intranet. The role involves many internal and external contacts and offers the opportunity to work broadly with both support and development within HR.

About You

We are looking for you who have a university degree with a focus on HR or another academic education that the employer deems relevant. You have experience working in HR, for example as an HR Generalist or HR Administrator, preferably from industrial operations or another complex organization. You have a good understanding of HR processes and thrive in a role with many parallel tasks.

As a person, you are structured, detail-oriented, and good at prioritizing in a daily life with varying pace. You are service-oriented, have good collaboration skills, and communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and have a solution-oriented approach. Experience with Agda is an advantage.
