Make a difference this summer! Join Humanas HVB homes in Region Uppland! Are you looking for a meaningful summer job where you contribute to giving young people a better future?

We are now seeking dedicated and responsible summer substitutes for our eight HVB homes in Region Uppland: Bellagården, Dalilagården, Eleonoragården, Torpvillan, Vattmyren 1&2, Villa Matteo, and Villa Nora. Here, you will have the chance to grow professionally in an environment shaped by Humanas core values: Commitment, Responsibility, and Joy.

About the role and our target group
Our units receive children, adolescents, and young adults aged 10–20. The youth we meet are often in complex life situations, and challenges vary between units. These can include norm-breaking and criminal behavior, substance abuse issues, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, neuropsychiatric diagnoses, or sexual behavioral problems. We work from a norm-critical perspective, and our operations are HBTQI-certified. As an hourly and summer substitute, you will become an incredibly important and secure adult role model in the daily lives of these young people.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Therapeutic work: You support the youth based on evidence-based methods, primarily CBT, but also incorporating elements of DBT, ART, B12, A-CRA, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
  • Structure and clarity: Maintaining a predictable daily routine through clear pedagogy and reinforcement systems such as token economies.
  • Meaningful leisure time: Leading and participating in daily physical activity, outdoor life, cooking, and social skills training.
  • Documentation: Continuous documentation of interventions and development according to the BBIC structure.

Since our residences are staffed around the clock with awake night personnel, the position involves shift work with varying hours scheduled for days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Who are you? To succeed and thrive in this role, we are looking for someone who is flexible, solution-focused, and driven by creating supportive and honest relationships. You are a secure person with high symptom tolerance who can meet the youth's challenges with a low-affective and motivation-supportive approach.

Qualifications and competency requirements:

  • You have an education as a treatment pedagogue, social worker, or other adequate education (ongoing post-secondary studies in the field are also meritorious).
  • You have several years of relevant experience working with children and young people in similar difficult life situations.
  • Experience and formal competence in CBT, DBT, or other evidence-based methods we use are highly meritorious.
  • Good computer skills, experience with documentation, and good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.
  • A valid B-driver's license is required.

We view linguistic and cultural diversity very positively, as it broadens our competence and creates an even more inclusive care environment for our youth.

Before employment, we request extracts from the Police Authority's criminal and suspicion register.

Does this sound like something for you? Don't hesitate to get in touch – interviews are conducted continuously, and we look forward to meeting you!
