Your daily life as a Security Guard
SOS Alarm continuously works to analyze and develop our security operations to create a safer Sweden for everyone, and not least for our SOS colleagues. Our Physical Security department is expanding, and we are now looking for security guards, primarily for day shifts, who can help build up our security operations at our new facility in Timrå.
In the role of security guard, you will be supervised by the Group Manager of Physical Security in Timrå. You are also expected to support local management with questions related to security and security protection. We are looking for guards who want to work day shifts.
The assignment includes roughly:
The security guard's main task is to ensure access control at the sites, while simultaneously providing professional service to all visitors during their often first encounter with SOS Alarm Sweden AB. Our security guards are one of the company's faces to the outside world and will be the first person our customers, partners, employees, and visitors meet. Therefore, it is important to always behave in a professional and trustworthy manner.
The duties include among other things:
- Visitor management/access control and administration of the visitor system.
- Internal and external rounds of the sites.
- Intervention activities in the event of incidents.
- Escorting craftsmen or visitors.
- Preventive security-related checks.
- Vehicle patrols.
We are looking for you who:
- Have completed the basic security guard training.
- Have a B driver's license, as well as good health and physical condition.
- Have at least 3 years of experience working in the security industry and experience working independently.
- Have a passing high school grade in Swedish and English, at least E or equivalent.
- Can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
- Are crime-free, drug-free, and have your personal finances in order.
We consider it a merit if you:
- Have guard training, GU1, and GU2.
- Have training in firearms according to FAP 694–1.

SOS Alarm conducts background checks and security clearance with register control on its personnel according to the requirements of the Security Protection Act (2018:585). A control according to the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies is also performed and is active during the employment period. A drug test without remarks is a prerequisite for employment. The position also involves war placement at SOS Alarm.
