As a nurse, would you like to be part of Örebro Municipality's forefront in medically advanced care? At Tullhuset, we are developing our operations forward, and we want you to be part of the journey!
About the position
We are facing challenges with an increasing number of severely ill citizens. As the municipality's largest short-term care facility, we must make changes to meet these needs. Therefore, we are increasing our basic staffing and initiating a closer collaboration with nurses in special housing within the municipality. This allows us to continue focusing on development and improvement. With these changes, the work environment shifts; solo work during evenings and weekends will be eliminated, and we aim to have every sixth weekend on the schedule.
You will become an integrated part of our team, collaborating across all departments at Tullhuset. You will have close collaboration with our occupational therapists, as well as other professional groups such as care assistants, physiotherapists, doctors, and the unit manager. This close teamwork is the foundation of our entire operation. You work based on each individual's unique needs. Since our patients move between different healthcare providers, extensive collaboration with external actors is required, such as specialist care at USÖ, Region Örebro County's primary care, home healthcare, receiving special housing facilities, and the authority department.
Examples of tasks:
- Deciding on, implementing, and following up on nursing measures.
- Being responsible for supervision and education in nursing.
- Instructing and delegating health and medical care tasks to care staff.
- Maintaining contact with and providing support to relatives.
- Documentation in various quality registers and operational systems.
- Participating in and driving continuous improvement and development of our operations.
About the workplace
At Tullhuset, we run Örebro Municipality's largest short-term care facility. The operation consists of four floors plus a department at USÖ (Department 40A). In total, we have 74 beds, of which 12 are at USÖ. Our entire operation is run in close collaboration with Region Örebro County and the geriatric clinic at USÖ, which provides medical staffing as well as physiotherapists and rehabilitation assistants. We have resources for assessing ongoing care and support needs, enhanced resources for rehabilitation, continuous access to doctors during daytime hours (weekdays), and primary care on-call services during weekends and evenings. Our operation is guided by providing the individual with knowledge, good treatment, high participation, and continuity.
