Do you want to work with sustainability for real and make a difference every day? Stena Recycling is looking for you who likes responsibility, customer contact, and finding smart solutions in a varied everyday life.
Stena Recycling is Sweden's leading recycling company, working and developing circular solutions within all types of operations. With 1,900 dedicated employees at 95 locations across the country, Stena offers sustainable solutions every day for both customers and society at large. The corporate culture is characterized by innovation, curiosity, care, and the ambition to drive industry development in close collaboration with our partners.
As an employee at the environmental warehouse, you are Stena Recycling's face to the outside world and a key part of handling incoming chemicals and hazardous waste. You will do this in a safe and professional manner. You work close to the operations and meet daily with people who leave materials for handling with you.
Your main responsibilities:
- Receive and register incoming hazardous waste and chemicals
- Perform arrival inspections
- Identify and test materials
- Sort and group chemicals correctly
- Handle the material further in the depot or for further transport
- Provide good service and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues
Working hours are Monday–Friday, 07:00–16:00. This is a summer job starting immediately and running through the end of August.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
To thrive in the role at the environmental warehouse, you should be responsible and have a strong safety mindset, as you are surrounded by large machinery and chemicals daily. You should also work systematically and contribute to a safe working environment for both yourself and your colleagues. You should be practical and not afraid to get involved or help out where needed. You should also be good at communicating and providing good service to the employees who drop off waste at the environmental warehouse.
Advantageous if you have ADR 1.3 certification. It is also beneficial if you have previous experience in material handling or have worked at an environmental station or recycling center. A technical interest is beneficial as you will work with certain systems.
Requirements:
- Category B driver's license
- Swedish language skills (spoken and written)
- Good physical fitness and willingness to work
