We are looking for a secure, playful, and engaged assistant for a family just outside of Gävle.

Do you have a big heart for children, a sense of humor, and a calming presence? Then you might be the one we are looking for! We are seeking a permanent personal assistant for a cheerful, playful, and lively 5-year-old girl. Here you will have the chance to grow together with an absolutely wonderful little girl and help her explore the world at her own pace.

Who is your new little employer? Our client is a happy and curious girl who loves being outdoors and exploring the world. She lives just outside of Gävle with her mother, father, older brother, younger sister, and two four-legged family members (cats).

Because she has motor and developmental delays, her daily life looks a bit different, and she needs your support to play, develop, and feel well. She communicates using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), where you will use support signs and picture aids together to understand each other. She also has epilepsy and receives continuous feeding via a small button on her stomach.

Who are we looking for? For this role, we are looking for an assistant who naturally handles children well, is secure, and has a lot of playfulness in their body.

We would like you to:

• Have previous experience with, or a good understanding of, epilepsy, button feeding, and AAC (support signs/picture aids).
• Be a non-smoker and enjoy being around animals, as there are cats in the home.
• Feel confident working independently while also having a sensitive approach to working in someone else's private home.
• Have a driver's license and access to a car (this is a plus, but not an absolute requirement).

About the position and working hours This is a permanent position as regular staff. Since the family needs security around the clock, shifts are scheduled during the day, afternoons, and waking nights. We are looking for someone who is flexible and ready to be there during all hours of the day.

Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that, according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3), cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.
